About conference

Taiwan is invaded by typhoons every year. Typhoon-induced storm surges and waves lead to coastal erosion, flooding, seawater intrusion, and wetland damage. The intensity and frequency of typhoons and rainstorms have increased due to global warming, making natural disasters more frequent. In response to the impact of climate change, the National land use re-planning, coastal zone development, ecological equilibrium, and coastal disaster protection should be considered to achieve sustainable development. Moreover, countries around the world have successively proposed “2050 Net-Zero Emissions”. The policies of “Taiwan ‘s Pathway to Net-Zero Emission” and “12 Key Strategies” have announced in March and December 2022. The government fully promotes renewable and forward-looking energy to effectively achieve energy storage and transition via offshore wind power and marine energy development.

The Ocean Engineering Society, organizes the Ocean Engineering Conference every year, inviting domestic and foreign scholars, experts and engineers to come together to present the latest research results and engineering technologies, and discuss their rationality and possibility. In addition, the 45th Ocean Engineering Conference specially holds an international energy workshop, inviting international scholars in the field of ocean energy and offshore wind power to share the experience of various countries. At the same time, it will also discuss many important issues including port and coastal development, construction technology, marine affairs, marine management, marine energy, construction, operation and maintenance of offshore wind farms and future prospects. In the future, under the cooperation of industry, government and academia, it is expected to improve the level of marine engineering research and technology of our country, promote the sustainable development of coastal areas, and work together for the earth's energy and environmental sustainability.

This International Energy Workshop & 45th Ocean Engineering Conference is separated into two parts.
The international energy workshop is solicited type, and the 45th Ocean Engineering Conference (OEC) is call for papers type.
If you are interested in participating in the OEC, please download and fill in the registration form and abstract template and send them to Dr. Chao ( Email: away19850624@gmail.com )or Dr.Barman ( Email: koushikkantibarman@gmail.com ) before Septembr 09, 2023. Thank you.
